Cabbage Sunday at the New Inn

Cabbage Sunday will play host to some great family activities, including face painting, bouncy castle, magical characters, BBQ, charity auction and more.

‘Cabbage Sunday’ is a local produce auction that has been running in Winterbourne Monkton for approximately 60 years.
It started off with a disagreement between two local farmers about whose cabbages were the best, hence the name, and so it was decided that they would be voted on in the local pub and then auctioned off.
Over the years, the event has turned into a yearly tradition raising well needed funds for local charities.
